.Spain

From the famous Spanish "sherry triangle" of three wine growing regions; Puerta de Santa Maria, Jerez de la Fontera and Sanlucar de Barrameda comes the Brandy de Jerez. The wine is distilled and blended according to traditional methods. It's than matured in American oak casks that were used to age the famous sherries. Thus the unique aroma and flavor. The age is defined by three categories: Solera Gran Reserva (at least 3 years), Solera Reserva (at least 1 year) and Solera (a minimum of 6 months).
In Catalonia, in the district of Penedés, there is also a small production of brandy.
